Reißeck funicular railway
The Reißeck funicular railway enjoys a breathtaking location:
Enjoy fantastic views of the Hohe Tauern summits on your incomparably amazing ride to the Schoberboden mountain terminal, which takes about 25 minutes.

The ride takes you through different vegetation levels ranging from the deciduous and mixed coniferous woodland in the Mölltal to the Alpine grasslands high above the tree line. 

Reißeck alpine railway
Operating even higher than 2,200 m above sea level from the Schoberboden to the Reißeck mountain restaurant & hotel, the Reißeck high altitude railway is Europe’s highest narrow gauge railway. In barely 10 minutes the ride takes you past vertical rock faces and through the over 2 km long Reißeck tunnel: an unforgettable experience.

Hiking on the Reißeck
The astonishing beauty of the sheer striking rock faces in the Reißeck mountain range never fail to leave mountaineers and hikers captivated by the special experience. Above all, the Reißeck mountain restaurant is the starting point for mountain hikes and Alpine tours. The highly popular Reißeck round tour trail takes you to the great Mühldorf reservoir.
 
Guided tours of the dam wall
There are plenty of interesting information points to provide you with explanations of the countryside, its geology and vegetation. Particularly popular is the echo spot near the great Mühldorf reservoir and the almost primeval circle of stones by the great Mühldorf dam wall.
